Master Chief Mota is a native of Ceres, California and enlisted in the U.S. Navy September 1999. Following Basic Training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois she reported to “A” school in Pensacola, Florida.
Sea duty assignments include: HELSUPPRON Eleven (HC-11); Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron Twenty One (HSC-21) Plank owner; Helicopter Sea combat Squadron Twenty Three (HSC-23); Airborne Command and Control Squadron (VAW) 123. During her tours, she has completed workups and deployed onboard USS Ronald Reagan (CVN-76); USS Nimitz (CVN-68); USS Eisenhower (CVN-69); USS Lincoln (CVN-72); USS Boxer (LHD-4); USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6); USS Essex (LHD-2); USNS Bridge (T-AOE-10) and 5th, 6th, and 7th Fleet Areas of Responsibility.
Shore duty assignments include: Fleet Composite Squadron Eight (VC-8), Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico; Naval Air Station Keflavik, Iceland; Commander Navy Region Southwest, San Diego, California; Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC), Norfolk, Virginia; Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Center (NATEC), Norfolk, Virginia.
Master Chief Mota became the Senior Enlisted Leader of Fleet Readiness Center Southeast Detachment Jacksonville in July 2023.
Mota’s personal qualifications and awards include the Enlisted Aviation, Enlisted Surface, and Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist designations; Three Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, six Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals and various unit and campaign awards. She is a graduate of Senior Enlisted Academy Class 199 “Gray” and holds a Master of Organizational Leadership and Bachelor of Criminal Justice Administration degree from National University.
