Commander Kevin Jack, a native of Greeley, Colorado, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1999. A 2009 graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, he commissioned via the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate Program. Jack earned his master’s degree in systems analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2021.
At sea, he served as an aviation electronics technician with Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light (HSL) 45, where he completed a deployment with the USS Ford (FFG 54); assistant maintenance officer and quality assurance officer for Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 41, where he completed a deployment with the USS John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group; and maintenance material control officer and assistant maintenance officer for Patrol Squadron (VP) 16, where he completed a deployment to Sigonella, Italy.
Jack’s shore tours include serving as an instructor at the Navy Nuclear Power Training Command; as the avionics division officer, maintenance material control officer and assistant officer-in-charge at Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, Detachment Jacksonville; officer-in-charge at Aviation Intermediate Maintenance Detachment Sigonella; integrated product team lead of Tomahawk recertification and depot repair at the Tomahawk Weapons System Program Office (PMA-280); and as the maintenance officer for Joint Strike Fighter Wing, overseeing the logistics, manpower, and sustainment of F-35C squadrons.
Jack assumed the role of officer-in-charge of Fleet Readiness Center Southeast Detachment Jacksonville in February 2026 and is slated to serve as the executive officer at Fleet Readiness Center Western Pacific in 2027.
His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and other personal, unit, and service awards. He has earned his Aviation Maintenance Officer Warfare Qualification and is entitled to wear the Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist insignia.
