Darrell White, a native of Hanford, CA, enlisted in the United States Navy as an Aviation Anti-Submarine Warfare Technician in October 1981. He was advanced to chief petty officer in 1992. White received his commission and was designated an Aviation Maintenance Officer via the limited duty officer program in April 1994. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Liberty University and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary and Graduate School.
At sea, he deployed aboard USS Nimitz (CVN 68) with Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 9 as an aviation anti-submarine warfare technician; USS America (CV 66) with Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 11 as an avionics work center leading petty officer and quality assurance representative; USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) with Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 3 as aviation electronics technician chief petty officer and flight deck coordinator; USS Belleau Wood (LHA 3), USNS San Jose (T-AFS-7) and USNS Kilauea (AOE-26) aboard Helicopter Combat Squadron (HSC) 5 as detachment maintenance officer and maintenance material control officer; USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) and USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CV 69) in Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron (HS) 5 as maintenance material control officer; and USS Dwight D. Eisenhower as Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department assistant maintenance officer and production control officer where he concluded a 25-year career in 2006.
His shore tours include Naval Air Maintenance Training Group Detachment 1068 as SH-3 avionics instructor and master training specialist; Naval Air Station Agana Guam as airframes and paraloft division officer; Commander, Naval Air Forces H-60 Fleet Introduction Team maintenance officer.
His federal service includes serving as a Naval Air Systems Command logistician in various capacities and as the Fleet Support Team lead logistician at Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE).
White assumed his current role as executive director of FRCSE in August 2025.
He holds an Advanced Certification in Life Cycle Logistics, Practitioner Certification in Program Management and is a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps. He is the recipient of numerous military and civilian awards, notably the United States Navy Meritorious Service Medal, Secretary of Defense Product Support Manager of the Year 2019 and Meritorious Civilian Service Award.
