Officer in Charge, LCDR Gregory Grant

Lieutenant Commander Greg Grant, a native of Hendersonville, North Carolina, reported to Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, in July 1999. He began his career as an Aviation Machinist Mate, serving in VFA-34, AIMD Oceana, VFA-213, and CNATTU Oceana. He received a commissioned to the rank of Ensign under the Officer Candidate School program in December 2014.
 
LCDR Grant has served in various sea duty assignments, including VFA-131 (Wildcats) as the Material Control Officer (MCO), Quality Assurance Officer (QAO), and Maintenance/Material Control Officer (MMCO), HSM-74 (Swamp Foxes), as the Assistant Maintenance Officer, and VP-10 (Red Lancers) as the Assistant Maintenance Officer. His previous shore tours include Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE Level III) as the Component IPT Lead and F414 Engines IPT Lead.
 
He has completed Seven deployments to the Persian Gulf, Mediterranean, Indian Ocean, and Pacific Fleet AOR, in support of many operations. Embarked ships include the USS George Washington (CVN 73), USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN (71), USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), and USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77). 
 
LCDR Grant has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Managment at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and a Master of Organizational Leadership from Liberty University, Professional Aviation Maintenance Officer qualification, and awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), and various other personal and unit awards.
